Bloo works in recyclable materials across Nigeria, mainly PET bottle bales and aluminium can bales. Before BlooLens, quality checks relied on manual inspection: someone looks at a bale, makes a judgment call, and hopes it holds up with the buyer.

That created real friction:

  • No standard way to verify quality. Every assessment depended on who was looking and what they noticed that day.
  • Contaminants were easy to miss. Things like PVC in PET, or tin and iron in aluminium, can ruin an entire batch.
  • Nothing buyers could trust. No shareable proof, no digital record, no consistent grading.
  • Operations lived in people’s heads. Supplier performance, scan history, and location data were not in one place.

They had the domain expertise and the supply chain. What they did not have was a product that turned that knowledge into something fast, repeatable, and credible.

We designed and built BlooLens™, Bloo's AI-powered verification platform, as a full web product, not just a landing page.

Users photograph or record a 360° video of a bale, and the system confirms material type and purity, detects contaminants, assesses physical properties (uniformity, compression, colour mix), assigns a quality grade (A, B, or Reject), and issues a Digital Verification Certificate.

Works for both PET bottle bales and aluminium can bales, with separate analysis logic for each.
